As a laboratory technician at Laholmsbuktens VA AB, you will play a central role in ensuring high quality in our analyses, measurements, and emission controls.

You will work independently in the laboratory and be an important link between the laboratory, operations, and process development.

The position is located within the Production department and you will report to the Production Control Group Manager.

Your Responsibilities

In the role of laboratory technician, you will among other things:

  • Perform emission control of wastewater from the municipality's treatment plants.
  • Plan and carry out sampling according to control programs.
  • Conduct analyses of physical and chemical parameters and send samples to an accredited laboratory.
  • Be responsible for sample administration, validation, and compilation of analysis results.
  • Maintain, check, and calibrate laboratory and process instruments.
  • Ensure that online meters and instruments deliver reliable measurements.
  • Follow up on quality and operational data and initiate improvement measures.
  • Assist the operations organization during operational disturbances and investigations.
  • Participate in projects, trials, and procurements related to instrumentation.
  • Engage in operational follow-up and process optimization.

Your Qualifications

We are looking for someone with relevant education in laboratory technology, chemistry, environmental technology, or equivalent. You should have previous experience in laboratory work, sampling, and analysis activities. You have good knowledge of instrumentation, calibration, and measurement technology. As a person, you enjoy working independently, structured, and meticulously. You also have good collaboration skills and a pedagogical ability to share knowledge with others. Good computer skills and experience in documentation and reporting are required.

It is advantageous if you have experience from wastewater treatment plants or process industry and/or experience in emission control and regulatory requirements as well as experience in quality assurance and process optimization.
